Raw materials (Squid part 3)

Here is the rather unimpressive pile of raw materials for the plane. One the bottom, a sheet of very weathered 1/8” brass (from the scrap yard) for the sides, some 1/8” O-1 steel for the blade, 1/8” mild steel for the sole, 1/2” mild steel for the mouth block (I was planning on 3/8” but had the 1/2”), some apple (which may or may be enough as it is well checked) and a plan. In the center are the cut out sides and sole piece. All this will be reduced to something like the pictured plane.
